It’s always fun and exciting when you mix alcohol and sugar together! Chocolate liquors have
been treating our taste buds for ages, and now the in thing to do is to add a ‘sneaky something’
into candies!
For our drunk gummy bear recipe you will need the following:

1 x 200 g (7 oz) Bag of Gummy Bears

approx 150 – 200 ml (2/3 Cup – 3/4 + 1/8 Cup) of vodka (the vodka and actually be
replaced with any form of spirits that you prefer, gin,tequila or even cane)

Then follow these easy steps…

  1. Empty out the gummy bears into a bowl
  2. Throw the 200ml vodka onto the gummy bears – make sure all the gummy bears are
    equally covered in vodka!
  3. Leave them in the fridge for 7-8 hours so that the alcohol can be nicely absorbed by the
    gummy bears #drinkupgummies – you will know they’re ready if they’ve grown in size and
    if the vodka is finished (like any good night out)
  4. Take them out of the fridge. Pop them into your mouth and enjoy!

P. S these little bears can pack quite a punch so make sure you share!
I like to put a couple in my drink. They look so festive, swimming around in a gin and tonic!
You can also freeze them and throw them over a bowl of ice cream. They go really nice and
chewy! Or use them as little drink coolers instead of ice.
The principal of the recipe should stay the same with any clear jelly candy, so if gummy bears
aren’t your thing, that’s okay! Use whatever you enjoy – gummy worms, sour worms, gummy
